Kheema (Freezer-to-Pan One-Step) — 💛 I Just Can’t Even version

What to expect

This will smell like it should have a pretty photo… but remember: this isn’t “correct” food; this is give-yourself-grace food 🙂

What to do

Dump EVERYTHING from your grocery pick-up or delivery into a big pot or deep pan:

  • 2 lb ground meat (beef/lamb/turkey/chicken)
  • 1 container diced onions
  • 1 container pico de gallo
  • 3 ginger cubes (3 tsp) (straight from freezer)
  • 3 garlic cubes (3 tsp) (straight from freezer)
  • ½ bag steak fries or your choice of frozen potato (straight from freezer)
  • ½ bag frozen mixed vegetables (straight from freezer)
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp salt

Spices (dump in too):

  • 2 Tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 Tbsp cumin powder
  • 1 Tbsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 pinch clove powder

Cook:

  1. Heat medium-high, cover 8 minutes
  2. Uncover, stir / break up meat
  3. Cook uncovered 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until:
    • meat is browned
    • potatoes are tender

Optional: cilantro on top.
